All photographs are by Marc Forget, except for Marc’s photo on the bio page. Almost all were shot with a Sony α7R II (full-frame 42.4 megapixel sensor) camera, using Zeiss and Sony G series lenses with Heliopan filters. The few older photos were shot on Fujichrome Velvia with a Nikon F2 camera using Nikkor lenses with Nikon filters.
The original digital files measure 7,952 X 5,304 pixels, are recorded in RAW format and are 81.7 megabytes in size. All were processed using Adobe Lightroom.
Compressed .jpg files (3 to 5 megabytes in size) were uploaded to this site, and the photos you see are further compressed to a low resolution .webp file that is only between 200 and 400 kilobytes.
Prints are produced with an Epson P800 printer using UltraChrome HD ink which is long-lasting pigment-based instead of dye-based. UltraChrome HD offers very high colour accuracy and has a permanence rating well over 200 years for colour and 400 years for black & white. Only archival acid-free papers are used, in sizes up to 43 centimetres by 152 centimetres, or 17 X 60 inches. Various finishes are available, from textured matte to high gloss. Special orders are taken for larger sizes or transparencies.
